To receive patients, attenders, visitors etc into the hospital with care and concern
Addressing the patient’s queries and concerns.
To manage OPDs effectively and also to make sure the consultation rooms are available in the allocated OPD time
Admission procedures are carried out once the patient is advised for admission from the consultant/casualty
Inform the concern nursing departments during any admission and enquire about the room readiness to receive the patient at the ward
In case of non-availability of rooms requested by the patient, upgrade for the higher categories of rooms with proper authorization
Visitor and attendant pass is issued to the patient attender at the time of admission and the same is collected back at wards & cross checked before discharge.
Updating the ward allocation file.
Inform the nursing department after the final settlement of the bill at the time of discharge of the patient.
Receiving the reports from the lab & Radiology and handing over the same to the patient after obtaining the acknowledgment in the report dispatch register.
Explain the expenses covered under insurance and their eligibility to admit to appropriate wards.
Any other responsibility assigned by the management is to be carried out.

To manage salary/ wage administration, performance appraisal and promotion etc. with the approval of the Managing Director.
To maintain the administrative documents correctly and ensure the confidentiality of the classified material.
Shall represent the hospital as and when required and directed by the management.

Handling and taking over all reports pertaining to new admissions, cases in critical therapy areas, special investigations, surgery, death and any other un toward incidents, during the previous shifts.
Check and maintain punctuality in wards/departments/sections specifically at the beginning of each shift.
Check staff deployment, floor wise and section/ ward wise and ensure smooth functioning.
Check on duty assignments and daily nursing care plans and schedules.
Visit all new admissions, check on patient being or likely to be discharged, review work up and status of all pre and post-operative patients, visit and interact with all VIP’s, critically ill patient and attend to complaints, if any.
Make thorough daily rounds of the assigned area of responsibility.
Attend to all emergencies and untoward incidents in the section/ wards/ floors assigned and make a detailed report to supervisors.
Assist in organizing essential materials, nursing appliances for inventory stock and for daily use.
Improve profession job knowledge of staff incident and case teaching at the bedside and at regularly conducted classes.
Create awareness among staff in crisis management in the wards/ department/ sections/ institution: – e.g.: – Code Blue situations, etc.,
Orient new staff members and moulds them as per institutional requirements.
Prepare daily and consistent unbiased report about critically ill patients, VIP’s and any untoward incident and submit the report to the Nursing Superintendent/ immediate superior.
Co-ordinate all functional aspects of the department.
Check weekly duty roster, weekly off and leave sanction and staff availability.
Direct and supervise service activities of nursing care, plan and instruct patient care activities.
Responsible for section/ department/ ward assigned over 24 hours and for the evening and night shifts in particular.
Supervise and evaluate on job performance in terms of patient care relationships and efficiency of service of all staff assigned to ward/ department/ section.
Maintain safety at work place for all staff and patients.
Establish and ensure compliance of inventory standards for medicines, solutions, consumable supplies, all other miscellaneous material and equipment.
Any other responsibility assigned by the management is to be carried out.
