Job Description :
- Handing and taking over of patients, equipment, documents in each shift.
- Preparation of trolleys for various operations.
- Assist surgeons and Anesthetists.
- Immediate pre and post-operative care.
- Ensure safety and comfort of patients in the OT.
- Practice strict aseptic techniques in the OT.
- Maintain records accounting of swabs, instruments during surgery.
- Assist OT In charge of infection control practices.
- Transporting of patients in and out of OT.
- Assist In charge in managing the OT and officiate in his/her absence.
- Ensures correct disposal of waste from the operation theatre.
- Supervises (students and ) junior nursing staff.
- Report any untoward incidents to In-charge
- Dispatch of the specimen to the laboratory.
- Ensure that you meet your patient pre and post-op and relieve anxiety and gain confidence in you.
